These case studies get you started using R in the context of actual statistics topics. No prior computing skills are needed to work through the cases.
The motivation for the case studies is that reading preceeds writing and practice preceeds theory. Even without knowing anything about the syntax of R or the precise commands used, you can start to form an intuition about what statistical computing looks like, and perhaps develop confidence that even without training you can make small changes to the commands.
Should you wish to go forward, a more systematic introduction to R syntax and specific statistics commands is available in our Basics of using R tutorials.
